Athina AD provides advanced, AI-driven accessibility services through automated audio description and transcription. We believe in transparency, user autonomy, and making visual digital content accessible to all individuals.

2. Service Tiers & Availability

Athina AD is currently expanding its platform features. We offer the following service structures:

  • Free Testing Tier (Active): Allows users to process video files or public links for immediate accessibility viewing. Outputs on this testing tier are delivered strictly as an in-app text script and a live AI voice narration stream. No direct file downloads or video mixing are supported on the free testing level.
  • Creator Plan (Launching Soon): Designed specifically for digital content creators, influencers, and teams who want to mix automated descriptions into their own media. Subscribers to this upcoming tier will gain access to our video rendering engine to export fully modified video files (MP4) containing their original video layered with our synchronized AI audio description.

3. Your Content, Ownership & Representations

  • Ownership: You retain full ownership of any videos, audio streams, or public links you upload or submit through our pipeline. Athina AD claims no ownership over your source media.
  • Limited Processing License: You grant Athina AD a limited, temporary, non-exclusive license to process your content solely to execute our visual analysis and generate your audio description assets.
  • User Representation & Warranty: By uploading any file or pasting any link, you explicitly certify that you are either the original copyright owner of the content or have obtained explicit legal permission to process it.
  • Modified Videos Notice (Creator Plan): Once the Creator Plan is active, any video we modify for you by overlaying a synchronized description track is intended solely for your personal use or authorized original creator distribution. You assume 100% legal liability for the downstream distribution of any modified video files you download from our service.

4. Data Privacy (The "No Storage" Pass-Through Rule)

Athina AD is a data pipeline, not a warehouse. We do not store your uploaded video files. When you upload a file or submit a public link, the media is held in temporary, ephemeral memory buffers while our AI generates your script and audio assets.

  • Instant Purge: The millisecond the processing task is complete — or in the event of a system error or processing timeout — the original video file is instantly and permanently purged from our system cache.
  • Saved Assets: We only archive the text scripts, generated audio tracks, and user dashboard meta-records required to manage your account history.

5. AI Processing & Disclosures

To deliver high-quality, context-specific descriptions, Athina AD securely transmits temporary media streams to trusted third-party artificial intelligence engines, including Google Gemini.

  • No Model Training: We explicitly configure our enterprise API integrations to guarantee that your uploaded files, metadata, and generated outputs are never saved, cached, or utilized by third parties for AI model training or machine learning improvements.
  • Output Disclaimer: Descriptions are generated via probabilistic machine-learning models. Athina AD makes no absolute legal guarantees regarding the 100% factual accuracy, nuance, or contextual alignment of machine-generated descriptions.

6. Creator Plan Subscriptions & Billing (Upcoming)

  • Billing: Once launched, Creator Plan subscriptions will be billed on a recurring [Monthly/Annual] basis. Accounts will only be billed or deducted for successfully processed assets. Any processing error that lands in our system failure rate will automatically result in zero charge to your balance.
  • Cancellation Policy: We practice an "easy in, easy out" rule. Once subscriptions are live, you can cancel your plan at any time directly through your user dashboard with a single click. Cancellation will be effective at the conclusion of your current billing cycle.

7. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use Athina AD strictly for lawful, accessible, and authorized purposes. You are explicitly prohibited from using our pipeline to process content that infringes upon third-party copyrights, violates platform terms of service (such as YouTube's safety guidelines), or distributes explicit or malicious media. Athina AD reserves the absolute right to suspend testing privileges or terminate account access for any user found violating this code of conduct.

8. Copyright Takedowns (DMCA Policy)

Athina AD respects the intellectual property rights of creators. In compliance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512), we maintain a registered DMCA Designated Agent with the U.S. Copyright Office. If you believe your copyrighted work is appearing or being described on our platform without authorization, please submit a formal notice to our agent at abuse@athinaad.com including the specific description script and access URL.
