How to delete your account

On the website

  1. Log in to Athina AD on the web.
  2. Open Account in the menu.
  3. Choose Delete my account, enter your password, confirm, and choose Delete account.

In the Athina AD app (iPhone, iPad and Android)

  1. Open the Profile tab.
  2. Choose Delete my account and confirm.

By email

If you can no longer sign in, email info@athinaad.com from the address on the account and ask us to delete it. We may ask you to confirm that the account is yours before we act.

What happens next

  • You are signed out at once on every device, and the account is locked.
  • We send a confirmation email that says when the account will be deleted.
  • For 30 days you can change your mind: sign in on the website or in the app and choose Restore my account. Everything is kept as it was.
  • After 30 days the account and its data are permanently deleted, and we email you to confirm. This cannot be undone.
  • If you have a subscription, it stops renewing when you ask to delete the account, so you are not charged again. If you restore the account, renewal is switched back on.

What we delete

  • Your account: name, email address, password and sign-up answers.
  • Videos you uploaded, and the details of YouTube links you submitted.
  • Everything generated for you: descriptions and scripts, transcripts, narration audio and described videos.
  • Your history, job records and the processing logs for your jobs.
  • Ratings and feedback you gave on results.
  • Notification tokens for your devices, and usage records about you.

Deleted data is removed from our backups within a further 7 days.

What we keep, and why

  • Payment and billing records (subscriptions, invoices and credit balances) for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
  • Security and legal records, such as sign-in logs and the record of the terms you accepted, where we need them to protect the service or meet a legal obligation.
  • A short deletion record: the account ID, the dates of the request and the deletion, and a one-way hash of the email address, so we can show that the deletion happened.
  • Counts and statistics that do not identify you.
